Thank you, Lisa, for this creation to which I cannot take credit. I made very few edits, though am considering adding some dijon mustard to the sauce. It is missing something, but overall pretty tasty! Let me know your thoughts, edits or suggestions for next time!

Ingredients

20 Minutes

  • 2.5 -3.5 lb pork loin

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil

  • 3 tablespoons paprika

  • 1 tablespoon salt

  • 2 teaspoons black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme

  • 1/2 cup honey

  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar

  • 1 onion, sliced

Preparation

9 Hours    

  1. Line crock pot with thick slices of onion.

  2. Heat oil in a large pan.

  3. Lightly season pork with salt, pepper and garlic powder (my three favorite spices to add to anything any everything, if you haven’t noticed). Sear both sides of pork loin. Cut in half (optional).

  4. Place atop onion.

  5. Mix remaining ingredients (paprika, salt, black pepper, cayenne, thyme, garlic, honey, oil and vinegar to make a paste). Pour over loin and cook on low for 8-9 hours.
